Offering Unique Items for History Lovers
The Powers Museum Shop stocks books, gift items, family tree charts and a variety of reproduction items such as holiday goods, greeting cards, old-fashioned postcards, Missouri educational items and much, much more. Most of our merchandise can not be found elsewhere in Carthage and much of it is purchased from specialty companies who only supply museums and historical sites.
Other specialties offered include Route 66 books and souvenirs, Women's History Month items, non-fiction books as well as children's coloring books and paper dolls. The museum offers mail order items through this web site Shop Selections, too. Also, occasional "friends" online sales and on-site silent auctions fundraisers are scheduled for the museum. Currently culled reference library books are being offered on Amazon.com. Our annual Rummage Sale is scheduled for May 5th this year along with the Master Gardener Annual Plant Sale. To sign up for the museum's email list for notices of these special opportunities, please click here or follow us on Facebook (Powers Museum of Carthage). In town when the museum is closed? Year-round the museum also offers limited book titles, 1891 bird's-eye prints, and Route 66 souvenirs and guidebooks in the museum's sales case at Oldies & Oddities mall, 331 S. Main Street (middle building on westside of courthouse square) in downtown Carthage, Missouri. The store is open year-round, Sunday through Saturday (weather permitting, closed some holidays) from 10 am to 5 pm. Cash and check sales only at that locaiton. Image at the top of page:
